Black Lit Weekend convenes booksellers, publishers, authors, literary professionals, and readers from across the country for an immersive experience rooted in connection, learning, and place. Together, we gather not only to celebrate Black bookselling excellence, but to strengthen the ecosystem that sustains us.

Founded to create intentional space for Black-owned bookstores and the broader Black literary community, Black Lit Weekend has grown into the premier national gathering of Black Booksellers. Grounded in relationship-building, cultural preservation, and collective power you will leave with the tools, connections, and resources to improve your bookselling practice.
