This year’s theme reflects the intensifying partnership between Ghana and the European Union. The Business Forum embodies the fruitful social, political, and economic cooperation that has developed over the years, and which continues to grow. The cooperation between the European Union and Ghana started with the first Lomé Convention in 1975. The two parties have since developed fruitful social, political and economic cooperation, strengthened over the years with successive agreements. A notable outcome of this cooperation is the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) signed in 2016, which has ensured that the EU remains one of Ghana’s main trade and investment partners.
